Asterion Asset Management is a boutique investment firm engaged in private wealth and asset management. We invest through direct holdings in private companies and a deliberate allocation to early-stage ventures, and we hold what we own for a long time.
Why the structure matters.
Most institutions that manage money answer to a mandate with a review date. A fund has a life; a manager has a quarter to explain. Those deadlines end up deciding when something is sold, whether or not it is the right moment.
Permanent capital has no such deadline. That lets us hold through a flat year, keep a private position that will take a decade to mature, and judge a difficult quarter on its own terms. There is no fund timetable to keep.
